Adam joined our Hillel team in June of 2016 after having worked for seven years at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation in various roles, including Assistant Director of Community Planning, and Director of the North Dade Branch. Pivotal educational and experiential moments in Adam's life have led to his vision for building vibrant and lasting Jewish life on campus. Adam grew up in a variety of Jewish communities including Redlands, California, and Memphis, Tennessee, where he learned how inclusive and strong communities can help shape one’s life decisions. Before beginning his undergraduate studies, Adam participated in Young Judaea's Year Course in Israel, where his personal connection to Israel was solidified. Adam received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas, where he was an active Hillel participant. Following college, Adam returned to Israel to serve on the staff of Young Judaea, ultimately becoming an Assistant Department Director of Year Course. It was during those years working with college-aged students that Adam made the decision to dedicate his life’s work to the Jewish community. Adam also served in the Israel Defense Forces before eventually returning to the United States to pursue his career in Jewish communal work. Adam completed his graduate studies at Brandeis University, including an MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, and an MA in Jewish Professional Leadership from the Hornstein Program. Adam, his wife Francine, and his three children Matan, Aviva, and Noa live in Delray Beach where Luna takes them all on at least a few walks each day.
