After serving as our Director of Jewish Student Life for Broward County for 2 years, Lauren is thrilled to be taking on the role of Associate Director for Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach.

Lauren has a rich background in Jewish youth education, programming, and engagement, having built and managed various programs within the Reform movement over the past decade. Lauren spent three years at the Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando, FL, where she served as the Director of Programming, Engagement, and Experiential Education. Before making her way to Orlando, Lauren served the community she grew up in at Congregation Kol Tikvah in Parkland, FL. Her six years at Congregation Kol Tikvah was spent in various roles, including Director of Youth and Family Programming and Camp Messibah Director. Lauren began her career at Temple Beth Orr in Coral Springs where she taught in the early childhood center and religious school. She also served as Director of Camp Yeladim and was Youth Director for the middle school and high school youth groups.

Lauren, a Ravenclaw, can often be found in tie-dye attire and enjoying sushi. She is married to her husband Michael and they have a dog named Lola. In July 2020, Lauren and Michael welcomed their son Ryder into the world... Surely the best thing to come out of 2020! They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, the outdoors (during the months of October to April only), trying new restaurants and battling it out in their nightly Jeopardy games.
